What this service is, and — more importantly — what it is not.

The short version. This is a free record-keeping tool for your house. It is not an inspection, an appraisal, or engineering advice, and we are not the ones who fix anything.
How we get paid: homeowners never pay. If you ask to be connected to a contractor and you hire them, the contractor pays us a fee. We tell you this up front so you can weigh our suggestions accordingly.
The Home AI Profile is operated by BighoffHoldings LLC, an Illinois limited liability company based in Carpentersville, Illinois. Using the service means you accept these terms.
A place to keep track of your house: what equipment you own, how old it is, what the home inspector found, what permits were pulled, and what your HOA does and does not cover. We estimate when things are likely to need attention and, if you ask us to, we tell you.
It is free to homeowners and we intend to keep it that way. There is no upgrade, no premium tier, and no point at which we ask you for a card.
This matters more than anything else on this page.
If something seems urgent or unsafe — gas, water, electrical, structural — call a licensed professional. Do not wait for a text from us.
We read model numbers and dates off photos and scanned reports, partly by machine. Sometimes we will get it wrong — a faded sticker, a crooked scan, a "1" that looks like a "7."
Please check anything that matters before you spend money on it, and tell us when we have something wrong so we can fix it. Your profile is only as good as what goes into it.
If you ask us to connect you with a contractor, we will introduce you to a company we work with. You should know all of the following:
We are never paid to tell you something is due. The timing estimates come from published equipment service lives and do not change based on who pays us.
Texts are optional and off unless you turn them on. There are two separate permissions — maintenance reminders about your own house, and offers to connect you with a contractor — and you may take either, both, or neither. Reply STOP to any message to end them. Your carrier's normal message and data rates apply. Details are in the privacy policy.
The photos and documents you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them in order to run the service for you — nothing else. We do not sell them and we do not use them to train AI models.
Please only upload documents you have the right to upload.
This is a free service and we provide it as is. We do not promise it will always be available or error-free.
You can delete your profile at any time. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service or someone else. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you notice and a way to download your data first.
To the fullest extent Illinois law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you in connection with this service is limited to $100.
That figure is not us being clever — it reflects that you pay us nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here takes away rights you have under Illinois consumer law.
Illinois law governs these terms. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Kane County, Illinois.
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top, and we will tell you directly if the change is significant.
